American Indian Search helps build business communities by helping businesses and consumers find and support each other. We’re honored to provide over 8,000 business listings for free and have been working diligently to keep up with the demand. We encourage you to sign up your business if you haven’t done so already, and to utilize local and national American Indian businesses. Spread the word and help “Keep Tribal Dollars in Tribal Communities!” Our one year anniversary is coming up in February and we would like to hear how you have been using AIS. Drop us an email and say hello!
On a side note, we just notice KolaTissue.com (and blog) and absolutely love it! We started AIS by thinking how on earth we could get native products (say toilet paper) into national and native businesses (say casinos and corporations), and now we see Kola cleaning up! Fantastic!

We were thinking today about the economy and all the speculation about where it is going and realized there is not any buzz about American Indian economies in the mainstream media. None of us are economists, but we wonder if AIS counts as some sort of economic indicator, though of course its a select audience and anything but scientific.
The top hits on the AIS main categories give a snapshot of what sectors are growing, or at least in demand in Indian Country: Construction, Consulting, All Tribes, and Chambers of Commerce. Behind the scenes we are getting a more detailed look, and it it appears as though the construction, security and just about everything technology and media related is on fire! As we head into the spring and summer we expect tourism and entertainment to pick up, as well as a few other American Indian business development sectors.
Hopefully the economy, Indian or otherwise, will remain strong in the years to come and continue to help all peoples.
note: here is an interesting blog on the expected boom in tourism.

American Indian Golf has exploded in the last 10 years. There are more than 50 tribal-owned courses in 16 states, and at least another 20 or so are planned. With so many holes in play we decided not only to highlight these tribal operations but the companies and groups that cater to this select market. Download a Press Release here.
So which course is your favorite and what is your best score?
